Deward
Martin, 83 of Holly Hill, Florida
passed away on July 8, 2009. He was the
Step-father of FFDA Lobbyist, Georgia
McKeown. He is a graduate of the University
of Virginia engineering school, he earned
his masters degree in Sanitary Engineering
at the University of Illinois. He was
a member of the American Society of Professional
Engineers and his career spanned a lifetime
of experience in both the design and construction
engineering industries.
There
was nothing Deward Martin could not repair
or build. No matter how simple or how
difficult, even without seeing the project,
he knew how to solve the problem. Everyone
including family, friends and colleagues
called him for advice and he was always
there to lend a hand.
His
sense of humor and his warm laughter would
light up a room and everyone waited for
his stories of the "good ol' days."
A simple man, he could make anything grow
and loved gardening, visiting with his
grandchildren, and rooting for his beloved
Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins.
