Jack Blaine Dailey
May 20, 1929 - December 21, 2006

Jack Blaine Dailey, 77, of West Palm Beach, formerly of Miami, FL, Oslo, Norway, and Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on December 21, 2006, with his music and his beloved wife Jill at his side.

He would hire young bands for the Summer and take them around Norway to play concerts in every small town. Many a young couple danced to Jack Dailey and his bands. Among his major credits are John Brown's Body on Broadway, lead singer with Blue Baron, and opening act for the Beatles in 1963 in Stockholm (before they made it big on the Ed Sullivan Show).

Jack is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jill Henner Dailey, LFD; son Ronald Blaine Dailey (Lorna) of Cary, NC; daughters Betty Jean Murray (James) of Raleigh, NC. Mona Catherine Dailey and Kim Anita Dailey Christoffersen both of Larvik, Norway; grandchildren Nicole Bergemann (Matt), Christian Dailey, Cameron Dailey, Jamie Murray, Chad Murray, Airen Blaine (Jim), Patrick Dailey Christoffersen, Pia Dailey Christoffersen, Thomas Dailey Strand, Paal Dailey Christoffersen and Caroline Dailey Strand; great-grandchildren, Jimmy Murray and Sam Murray; mother-in-law Janet Henner; step-mother Blanche Dailey of Clemmons, NC; uncle Arthur Lee Maloy (Loeda) of Charleston, WV; aunt Edith Hovelsen of Kolsas, Norway; and cousin Nancy Geene McIntosh Gersh (Sid) of Aventura, FL.
