FCCFA Bylaws Committee (standing)

Review bylaws annually and recommend changes as needed. For transitional year, this committee will create new set of bylaws for the new association. Expectations for first year will be to meet in-person and/or over teleconferences 3-5 times and moderate email communication. Other years, the committee would meet via teleconference once per year or more if needed.

Formerly Legislative and Regulatory committees. Develops legislative initiatives for the upcoming year and follows regulatory issues with DFCCS. Expected to participate in 3-5 conference calls throughout the year, moderate email communication (heavy during session), follow DFCCS board meetings, rules changes, etc. and attend DFCCS board meetings if possible and expected to attend the Tallahassee Legislative Day.

Committee responsible for working with staff to create the new FCCFA web site. Expected to participate in approximately 5 teleconferences and moderate email communication throughout the year.

Reviews locations and venues, determines education and special events. Expected to participate in 5-10 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication. Chair is expected to attend hotel site visits.

Work with staff to create a plan of work for recruitment and retention for the year. Expected to participate in 2-4 teleconferences and moderate email communication throughout the year.

Will work to expand outreach on who qualifies and what funds can be used. Will create a point system to be used to judge applicants. Will become a staff function and board will ultimately approve scholarship recipients. Expected to participate in 2-4 teleconferences and minimal email communication throughout the year.

Reviews association financial status as necessary. FCCFA board to determine frequency of financial reporting from staff. Expected to participate in approximately 4 teleconferences and moderate email communication throughout the year.
